So...It's almost a year since I posted in this thing and what is my grand re-entry?? Have I won the lottery? Have I gotten married? Did I kill my boss? Nope...I thought Jenn's Santa letter thing was funny. So I did it. What's weird though is that it picked all of my friends from London. Maybe it's a sign....

This year I've been busy!
Last Thursday I put gum in ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=88.8) dickon_edwards's hair (-12 points). In August I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In April oneofthose and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In June I set roughlover's puppy on fire (-66 points). In November I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points).
Overall, I've been nice (190 points). For Christmas I deserve a shiny red ball!

So yeah....Why were Goya Dress never popular? I have been listening to them a lot again lately. And I think they were really underated. This is one of my particular favorites.

So not much new to report here. Just that I have been working like 54 hours a week at Virgin. (And NO that is not a typical Carrie Miller exageration!)
I'm quite excited that a new season of The Amazing Race is going to be starting. It premiers on September 27th. I'm not quite sure about the whole family thing....hopefully they won't make the missions easier because there are kids involved. Check it out---Amazing Race
Also The Family Guy starts back up this Sunday which I'm excited about. So it pretty much seems that only TV is getting me excited right now. hahaha...not true.

I'm really excited about some upcoming shows. IDLEWILD!, Sigur Ros and The Doves. M83 is also playing but I don't think that I will be able to go to that since everyone at my work seems to already have tickets. I just found out that Depeche Mode is going to be playing. I think I will have to check it out since I felt soooo guilty for not going to a show on their last tour. I have gone to at least one show from every tour since Black Celebration and when I missed them the last time I had major fanatic guilt. :( haha

I loved this quote so much from my friend Gregory that I had to make an LJ post around it. So....he's one of my friends from London and he was over here in the states when the bombings took place and we got a chance to meet up when he was here with his sisters to visit Disneyland. Basically it's his way of getting me to go visit....
"Now you have to come to London (we've got terrorists now, you know - it's a whole new level of exciting!)."
Sooo twisted. Funny enough....it worked. Not really, I don't need anybody to twist my arm to get me to visit London. The sad thing is that I was supposed to be over there in 2 weeks with my family but everybody backed out on me!!! Thanks a lot family!! |

I must say that I sighed a huge breath of relief today when I found out that all of my London lovelies were safe and sound.
Horrible, horrible thing to happen. I just freak out because
1) I used to take those trains to work every morning
2) They happened really close to where I used to live

So I work at Virgin now. I got offered a position as an Assistant Manager (Operations) and I accepted. Totally came out of nowhere. I went there to interview for a clerk position and they offered me this....yeah after like a month of waiting to hear back from them! I now join the other Tower ex-pats who work there----Furn and Aimee.
I'm still a broke ass. Can't wait for my first paycheck.
In other news I am so freakin happy because Idlewild are playing some shows out here in October. I have tickets for the El Rey show and the show they are playing in San Diego. Man....this band.....they just have my heart.
